Type 316 Stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance to 18-8 stainless steel which offers excellent corrosion resistance. Both may be mildly magnetic. Aluminum is ideal for outdoor use. Rockwell hardness is B87. Nickel-Copper alloy (Model) is heat and corrosion resistant. Slightly magnetic. Rockwell hardness not rated. Silicon bronze is mildly corrosion resistant. Nonmagnetic Rockwell hardness is B90. Hot-Dipped galvanized steel provides excellent protection against rust, weather and corrosion. Zinc-plated steel provides good rust resistance. Plain steel is made of low-strength steel. |
